About the Role

The Data Capability Specialist drives the adoption and effective use of data across Health Partners. You will build organisational data literacy, embed practical data management practices, and ensure consistent, confident use of trusted data for critical decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and deliver data literacy materials, training, and guidance for business users.
  • Support onboarding of stakeholders to new data assets, reporting, and governance practices.
  • Promote the use of trusted datasets, reporting assets, and standard business definitions.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for business stakeholders seeking guidance on data.
  • Ensure data management practices, including business definitions, ownership, documentation, and data quality, are incorporated into every data initiative.
  • Maintain and evolve the data catalogue, glossary, and key business definitions.
  • Support the identification and onboarding of data owners and stewards.
  • Monitor and report on data quality issues and trends, working with internal and external stakeholders to improve outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain data governance and data management assurance reporting.

About you

  • Experience working in a data, analytics, business intelligence, business analysis, or information management role.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with business stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate complex data concepts in a clear and practical way.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, metadata, business glossaries, and data ownership.
  • Experience supporting the development, adoption, or continuous improvement of data, reporting, or information management practices.
  • Experience developing documentation, training materials, or guidance that supports consistent use and understanding of data.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience
